Frequently Asked Questions

If your English is low- to mid-intermediate (B1), “Medical English” is the right course for you. All modules include vocabulary and terminology, grammar and idioms, listening, reading, writing and speaking. They use real-life scenarios from your job – meeting the patient, examination, tests, discussing diagnosis and treatment, and more. Because the exercises cover scenes you likely meet every week, you can quickly practice on the job and better remember what you learn.

Yes, you can. If you are unsure of your English level, we can arrange an online placement test – quick, easy, and at your convenience.

We also call our Medical English course a “Pre-OET course”. It introduces vocabulary, grammar and the communication skills you need for OET. What is more, each Module ends with OET-like exercises – with similar layout and skills – so you are already preparing for OET while doing this course. The OET-like exercises are written by an OET-trained Premium tutor and give an accurate look into the real test.

If OET is your goal, at the end of your Medical English course, you can now move on to full OET Preparation with our online and/or live tutor classes. Mock testing before your real OET can check that you are test-ready. Our goal is for you to pass your OET the first time!

Not doing OET? You may want to continue working with a tutor toward advanced Medical English (This will have a link to Private Tutoring – to be added), or get help preparing for your job interview, conference or medical article writing with our Academic Services.
