How to book your Private OET or Medical English tutor

The Occupational English Test (OET) is an international English language test that assesses the language skills of healthcare professionals who wish to work abroad. The test is available for 12 professions: dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science. OET is recognised by relevant regulatory healthcare agencies in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Dubai, Singapore, Namibia and Ukraine. For more on OET, see https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org.

Very important: start preparing early for your OET. Do not make the mistake of waiting until the last minute! A good idea is to do your preparation FIRS, then book your test date when you are confident of passing and are more likely to pass the FIRST TIME. But it’s okay to book he test first. In this case, we recommend a date one two to three months away. This allows time to prepare properly without panic.

Once you are committed to doing OET, it’s good to do a quick placement test to know where best to start, and what your strengths and weaknesses are. Then go to our OET Preparation page and choose your course(s). Our courses cover all the materials and skills you will need to prepare.

Remember: registering for a course means you have access to the pre-set Live Group Classes! If Live Classes do not suit you, you can register for private tutoring.

Click here to see OET grade and letter scoring and grade equivalents to other English tests.

Your OET results are usually valid for two years from the date you get them back. However, the length of time can also be decided by the individual authorities accepting OET. To be sure, check your authority’s website for details about their requirements.

Yes! Our online and private tutor courses cover all aspects of all sub-tests. Our Mock Testing helps prepare you mentally as well for full test conditions so you know what to expect on test day. BPME is a Premium Preparation Provider. That mean we have been directly trained, tested, endorsed and licensed by OET itself to provide correct, effective guidance, materials and assessment, which in turn increases our students’ chances of SUCCESS the FIRST TIME. This keeps our overall pass rates much higher than average.

If your English is low- to mid-intermediate (B1), “Medical English” is the right course for you. All modules include vocabulary and terminology, grammar and idioms, listening, reading, writing and speaking. They use real-life scenarios from your job – meeting the patient, examination, tests, discussing diagnosis and treatment, and more. Because the exercises cover scenes you likely meet every week, you can quickly practice on the job and better remember what you learn.

Yes, you can. If you are unsure of your English level, we can arrange an online placement test – quick, easy, and at your convenience.

We also call our Medical English course a “Pre-OET course”. It introduces vocabulary, grammar and the communication skills you need for OET. What is more, each Module ends with OET-like exercises – with similar layout and skills – so you are already preparing for OET while doing this course. The OET-like exercises are written by an OET-trained Premium tutor and give an accurate look into the real test.

Go to the course you want and click on “Enroll now” then “Take this Course”. From your cart, click “Checkout”. Different payment methods are available. That’s it!
